Good
Shepherd welcomes all visitors and newcomers. We invite you to join us in
worship and experience God's love for you within our community. We hope you
might even consider making Good Shepherd your spiritual home.

Good Shepherd is a unique place — a diverse community with room for all of God's children. We are a friendly and gregarious group of people — seeking and sharing our experience of God's grace in our lives. We are community striving to follow Christ faithfully.
The parish has the strength of a traditional and established church family, but continually is bolstered and refreshed by new voices joining the community.
It
is our hope and desire for Good Shepherd that all who gather here day to day will know that
God has blessed us with various gifts and talents for the spread of his kingdom.
If being a part
of this kind of community appeals to you and if we can help in anyway we are
glad to meet with you.
This section of our web site is intended to help introduce you to the parish and its customs with the goal of making you feel comfortable during your visit. Getting here explains in detail how to find Good Shepherd and provides a clickable map. For information on what's happening throughout the week at Good Shepherd, open our schedule or browse through the What's New? section that contains our calendars for special events, announcements and our newsletter, The Good News.
If you're interested in getting involved in the parish, Good Shepherd is strongly committed to involving community members in service and leadership at all levels. Let us know your interests so we can point you in the right direction. Our programs include outreach, Christian education for all age groups, social events, worship and many others. These are detailed in the Guide to Ministry.
The Visitors and Newcomers section in particular contains information on what to expect in an Episcopal Church, like when to sit, stand or kneel, and what Episcopalians believe. It also features an extensive glossary of terms you may hear associated with the church, from acolytes to vicars and everything in between.
The user's
guide offers guidance in calling for pastoral care, whether it be a relative
in the hospital, the need for marital counseling or simply prayers as you move
to a new community. Our story gives
newcomers a brief introduction to the rich history of the Episcopal Church of
the Good Shepherd, along with a meaningful tour of our stained
glass windows in the sanctuary.
If you have questions about membership and activities at Good Shepherd, please feel free to contact the church office at any time. On Sunday mornings, our greeters stand ready at the front door to welcome and assist visitors. After the service, our Open Arms ministry provides refreshments in Hardtner Hall and invites all to join them for a dutch treat lunch at an area restaurant.
Visitors seeking information about Good Shepherd or about membership also are urged to drop us a line via the electronic form we have provided.
