Here are additional educational opportunities for adults in the Diocese of Western Louisiana and the greater Episcopal Church.

The Bishop's School for Ministry in Western Louisiana The diocesan school offers study, prayer and fellowship for adult men and women in the church interested in deepening their Christian experience and understanding of the faith. Classes at the undergraduate level are offered in scripture, theology, the life of prayer, church history, liturgics, the Anglican ethos and ethics. The complete course of study is a three-year program; a fourth year is required for those seeking a special vocation in lay ministry or the diaconal ministry. Course sites are in Ruston and Lafayette. Kanuga A retreat center affiliated with the Episcopal Church located in a green valley tucked into the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. Programs range from its Mountain Trail Outdoor School, an environmental/adventure-based program for team and confidence building sessions, to conferences, religious and educational sessions held throughout the year. Rustically comfortable lodging accommodations include traditional cottages, the Kanuga Lake Inn and the guest houses.
