Dear Good Shepherd –

                 Before the spring slips between our fingers and we move into summer vacation, I want to offer a Confirmation/Reception/ Reaffirmation Class for adult members 16 years old and up. The Bishop normally schedules his visit to Good Shepherd in August so it’s important to be prepared before we get into the summer season. To this end I have scheduled three confirmation classes as part of our Simple Supper Program for this Spring. Please find the schedule printed below and consider being part of our “It’s All About Relationships” study and conversations as well.  

 

As usual, the evening will begin at 6 p.m. with a simple supper. I will have a sign up posted in Hardtner Hall for the meal and I hope that many of you participate. (If you are part of a group already meeting at church, please join in the meal before you have your study!) After the meal we will move into the program whether it’s the “Relationships” discussions, the Confirmation Classes or any other group meeting you may be involved in.  

 

            Please take a moment to think about (and check at the office) to see if you are recorded as a baptized member and if you have been Confirmed or Received into the Communion. Many of you would be surprised to realize that, even though your name is in the BOOK of Life, it may not be recorded in the Good Shepherd records book! This may sound like a minor detail now, but if you plan on running for vestry or delegate, and if you want to vote – you need to be in the book.

 

            I hope that you are all enjoying the wonderful spring weather we have been having, and that you will be filled with a fresh measure of God’s Spirit this Pentecost.
