As the quintessential expression of the human spirit and our longing for the transcendent, the arts inspire, entertain and uplift the community of Good Shepherd. Artistic events can be a great expression of spirituality a testament to God’s work in the world around us.

Beginning this year, Good Shepherd offers Bach's Lunch — a refreshing spring series of five noontime concerts that are free and open to the public.

As another form of the ministry of Good Shepherd, the congregation offers the Summer Music Festival, featuring performances by artists of regional and national importance. It is our hope that the series which contains sacred as well as secular themes will provide a way of sharing the human search for meaning and the impulse to celebrate that quest. To that end, we welcome our neighbors to Good Shepherd and share with them the divine beauty of the Arts in hopes that it will be a spiritual resource for them.

Throughout the year, the church incorporates the arts into the community with student recitals, concerts, exhibits and fund-raisers.  Many of our members also take leadership roles in fostering and promoting arts and culture in southwest Louisiana.
