Music

Music is an important part of our worship and adoration of God. Good Shepherd is blessed with a wonderful organ, piano and choir.  Dr Fred Sahlmann ,our director,  has a long tradition of special music offerings not only for high feast days such as Christmas, Easter, Pentecost and Holy Week; but also seasonal recitals such as Bach’s Lunch ( Fridays in Lent) and The Summer Music Festival (Tuesdays during the Month of June).

There are several ways to participate in the ministry of music at  Good Shepherd. 1) As a member of the CONGREGATION by singing and offering oneself to God through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. 2) As a member of the CHIOR, if you are a singer with talents and gifts for part-singing. The choir rehearses each Sunday morning at 9:00 in preparation for the 10:30 a.m. liturgy.  3) As an INSTRUMENTALIST enhancing the music worship on a regular basis or on special occasions.

If you are interested in any of the musical possibilities for participation , please contact Dr, Fred  Sahlmann, organist and Director of Music, and let him know of your willingness to offer you’re your talent to this ministry of music and praise.
