BOOK FAIR

ABOUT OUR BOOK FAIR

Good Shepherd's Book Fair is a big deal! We have one of the largest used book sales in southwest Louisiana. People come from all over the country to buy books at our sale. We have a dedicated team of volunteers who work tirelessly throughout the year to make this event the huge success that it is. Each year we begin collecting books around August. We then collect, sort, and box the books for months, running through February. Once we close the collecting process; we begin preparing for the sale, which takes place toward the end of March each year. The sale runs through the weekend of March 22-24 including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  Friday and Saturday 8:00 am until 6:00 pm. Sunday 11:00 am until 4:00 pm. The money raised from the sale is always used for charitable work throughout the greater Lake Charles area. Most of the funds help to support the efforts and services of local community non-profits, with some of the proceeds going toward our own Brown Bag program. If you love books and like helping others; then come on out for our Book Fair in March. And if you're looking for ways to help; we can always use volunteers to help sort and box books from August thru February. The acceptance of books ended on February 15, please do not drop off books after that date.
